More make-up, please!

This is the only time I ever saw a program with the plot telling us "it takes a REAL man to be a scientist".
Usually the scientist is the 98 pound weakling getting sand kicked in his face by the tough guy/beach bully. Not here!!!
Oh no! The old man scientist want his son to stop being such a little girl and be the supreme macho-man... a scientist. Yep.

The action takes place on a hired boat. The son proves his moxie by diving in to check on a UFO that has crashed into the sea.
Dad soon finds out there are worse things than having a poet for a son.

Eva Gabor in an early appearance is pretty, but, very un-glamorous.

A research team led by Dr. Burroughs witnesses a UFO crash into the sea. Burroughs` son Roy makes a dive on the ship, but when he surfaces, his father begins to realize that Roy is not himself.
